School-based Residencies

We offer a variety of residency programs for students and teachers. Participants will establish a vision of the writer or teacher they long to be and the writing they hope to produce. They will be introduced the Dispositions, processes, and craft of writing, assess their needs, set individual goals, and rely upon the protocols of our community to begin or continue their work. Most recently, we visited Cheektowaga Middle School, where we worked helped sixth, seventh, and eighth graders define their purposes for writing and develop strategies that would help them accomplish what they wanted to.
